With Jeff and Torri Esquillo leading the center’s next chapter, Rainbow of Kids Academy is focused on building on the foundation already established in the community and continuing its mission of providing safe, caring, and joyful early learning for Tampa families.

Meet the People Behind the Care
Owners
Jeff and Victoria met in college, where their shared passion for education took root. Now parents to a toddler, their commitment to child development runs even deeper. With Master's degrees in Business and Counseling, they bring hands-on expertise to how they manage the students' care and environment at Rainbow of Kids Academy—grateful for the chance to set their students up for success in Kindergarten and beyond.
Director and Lead VPK Teacher
A grandmother figure to every child in our care, she's the glue that holds Rainbow of Kids Academy together. As Director and VPK Lead Teacher, with over 5 years in the role and many more as a credentialed teacher before that, she brings experience and wisdom beyond the standard. Detail-oriented and fair, she's the kind of leader any daycare would be lucky to have.
Lead Infant/1 Teacher
Ms. Kyra leads our Infant/1 classroom, bringing warmth, curiosity, and a steady presence our littlest ones settle into right away.

Caring for children has always come naturally to her, long before it became her career—she was often the one trusted to watch over younger kids and keep them happy. She brings that exact instinct to the classroom every day as the newest teacher to join our team.
Classroom Support Lead
Ms. Tarita has over a decade of experience in childcare. Her nurturing personality and infectious laugh stand out right away. As our float teacher, she rotates through every classroom, giving kids time with her and teachers extra support. A Tampa native, she grew up playing sports and brings that same energy to the classroom.
Lead Toddler Teacher
Ms. Mary leads our Toddler classroom for 2s and 3s, bringing almost 40 years of childcare experience — 10 of them here at Rainbow of Kids Academy. Few teachers know young children the way she does; generations have grown under her care, giving her a deep understanding of how they learn best. She loves teaching through music and movement, and every milestone her toddlers reach is still a joy to witness.
In-House Cook
Ms. Sheila is the first one here every morning, opening up and getting the kitchen ready before the kids arrive.

Tampa born and raised, she recently moved back home, and helping people has always been part of who she is. That's part of why she fits in so well here. Showing up for kids in her own community is what drew her to this work, and every meal she makes reflects that.
